This is my newest drawing of a friend's 2 week old little girl, Hailey.

Here is the time lapse of the drawing

Enjoy!

Damammatess, if you use the 'Write Article' option instead of 'Post Video' - you should be able to attach your video directly to your article.

I tried that, it won't load the video any other way for me yet. I don't know if it's my computer or the wireless here, it's finicky.

Oh, that is really sweet! I love what you did with the drawing. And the video is very cool, too. Making these videos was a great idea.

Tess, I love your drawings and I love watching you draw! How do you judge the "scale" of things? It fascinates me that you seem to just "eyeball" the subject and BAM there it is so beautiful, in scale!

Thanks for sharing. Lovely!

Most of my drawings I use a grid and light skeleton, this one I used dots and a ruler to keep it to scale.

Thank you :-)

Did you try your Mom's drawing method with this one Tess?

Babies can be tough to draw but you captured it rather well.

I did try my mom's method with this one. It took me a little less time, didn't have much to erase. Babies, kids, and women are easy for me to draw... but drawing a man's face, that's a challenge for me. I learned by drawing what I saw, and I have sisters, no brothers, and my dad's face was always covered with a long bushy beard and mustache and wore glasses and hats the majority of my life.

This is beautifully constructed art, both drawing and photograph. Congratulations.

Beautiful example of both the power of digital art and the fascinating way in which the sensibilities can be affected by one image when seen in a variety of ways
