I have too many favorties out of this bunch to pick one. The family and I went to the Butterfly Pavillion not too far from home out here. My 2 and a half year old was terrfied of the butterflies, but the girls loved it. These are a few of the pictures I've played with from today's family outting. :-)
These are lovely Tess! Some of my favorite colors and I love how you succeeded at keeping the fragile quality. Thanks.
These are great. Beautiful, colorful, and all with a purpose. Thanks for sharing.
Oh my!
That first picture especially is of National Geographic-quality. Simply gorgeous with the contrast of the vivid colors.
These photos are great. I love to see the butterflies and it's really nice in the WInter to see them. An unexpected pleasure Tess.
I love visiting a butterfly house! You have some really nice shots here!
I love your talent , with a camera . To have the crisp detail of the butterfly , and the background being a color high lighting the subject . To capture this in a split second . While managing your children , at the same time .

Very beautiful and Butterflies representing transformation/change...
Thanks. That was the reason they inspired me, I'm trying to change my life in a few ways for the better :-)
I have a strong feeling you will succeed. Universal Symbols are everywhere if we only have the eyes and inclination to see them.
My husband managed my son. It was cute, a little 2 and a half year old boy freaking out about the butterflies, screaming, my husband telling him "Butterflies aren't scary, dude" while giggling at him, then a butterfly lands in my husband's hair and he screamed, so of course my son screamed louder. My husband told him "You win, Dude, let's get outta here" and he took him to the part of the pavillion where he could play without live bugs all around. My girls behaved well and enjoyed watching the butterflies. I did get a lot of shots of the leaves around there when the butterflies took off before the shutter released :-) Much like the many shots I've taken of the background when a kid took off on me I was trying to photograph.
I never thought Max would freak about butterflies...
I didn't think that he would either. I thought he'd like the bugs, but they all terrified him. Later he came up to me opening and closing his little hands at me, and said "I'm a butterfly" and then growled at me "Butterfly Monster"
Beautiful images all, Tessa! I like what you did with the color.
These are all beautiful! I think the 2nd one is outstanding!!!
Stunning color. No such thing as a favorite on that collection. I love each one till I look at the next ....rinse and repeat...
